The National Botanical Garden Dr. Rafael M. Moscoso is pleased to announce the Congress of Botanical Gardens of the Caribbean and Central America entitled: “Botanical Bridges III”, which will take place in the city of Santo Domingo, from March 23 to 26, 2020.
The first Congress of Botanical Bridges was held in Panama City in 2016, and the second (Botanical Bridges II) was held in Havana, Cuba, in 2018. These served as starting points for the Network of Botanical Gardens in the Caribbean and Central America. It aims to encourage collaboration between botanical gardens, botanical garden enthusiasts and research centers interested in the Caribbean region and Central America. The conference promotes the exchange of experiences and innovations in research, conservation and education to solve the common challenges faced by the region’s botanical gardens and associated research institutions.
The conference includes conferences, oral presentations and workshops related to the work of the botanical gardens of the region. In addition, there will be botanical expeditions and pre- and post-congress recreational activities.
Botanical Bridges III, is organized by the National Botanical Garden Dr. Rafael M. Moscoso de Santo Domingo and has the support of the Botanical Garden Prof. Eugenio de Jesús Marcano de la Ciudad de Santiago, Botanic Garden Conservation International, Naples Botanical Garden, as well as other national and international institutions.
